Allison Schachtel is a dedicated full-time college counselor with over ten years of experience working in both public school and independent settings. She has assisted numerous students and families navigate complex academic planning and college preparation issues throughout her career. Before joining Jenna’s team, Allie actively contributed to IEP, 504, and I&RS teams, demonstrating a deep understanding of learning support services and programs.
Her expertise lies in guiding students through the intricacies of the college search and application process. Allie has built strong relationships with admissions representatives and has personally toured over 100 schools, enhancing her knowledge of various educational institutions.
Passionate about supporting students as they embark on new and exciting chapters, Allie excels in providing meaningful and practical advice to students and their families. Her unique perspective, rooted in firsthand experience within the school setting, allows her to collaborate effectively with schools and families.
Allie holds an undergraduate degree in Human Services with a minor in Disability Studies from the University of Delaware. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Education in School Counseling from Rutgers University. Additionally, Allie served as the President of the University of Delaware Alumni Association New Jersey Chapter for over three years. Allie is an active member of various college counseling organizations, including the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC).
